If you’re just starting your professional path, The Hartford’s early career programs are designed to give you a deep understanding of our business and industry. You’ll get hands-on experience working on results-driven projects and assignments alongside experienced employees. Our rotational Early Career Leadership Development Program (ECLDP) exposes you to different functions and our Specialized Programs immerse you deep in your field of study. Upon completing any of our programs, you’ll gain professional, leadership and functional skills with plenty of opportunities for mentoring, coaching and networking. Our early career programs are designed to help you gain the leadership skills and professional confidence you need to excel in whatever you choose to do. Consider our various programs as you launch your career:

Freshman Year

If you are in your first year of college and looking for ways to navigate your future career and build your network, our Freshman Experience Program may be perfect for you. 

Sophomore Year

Our Early Immersion Program is a three-day program for college sophomores, where you’ll participate in a series of workshops, case studies and networking opportunities.

Junior Year

As a college junior, you can participate in one of our immersive summer internships within our ECLDP and other specialized programs, depending on the field you’re in. Full-time jobs are sometimes offered to internship participants.

Senior Year

Put your academic knowledge to use and  apply to jobs like full-time ECLDP and other specialized programs.
